L a u r a s c o r e y
Laura Moore Scorey grew up in a small town in Tennessee, with a love of the outdoors, and many other things. Her grandmother was an established artist and gallery owner- actually the first woman to own and operate an art gallery in Chattanooga, TN. Her preferred medium is oil paints, however, she loves to throw in the occasional charcoal drawing in or over her paintings for some interest and depth. Laura is a mother of 3 young children and her children inspire a lot of her art.
"Seeing the world through their eyes and their innocence is truly magical. It has sparked the inner child in me that dreams big dreams and feels big feelings. I am inspired by fashion, dance, photography, film, light, darkness, shadow, and more- basically anything that can evoke a deep emotion within. I love to create. I love to create beauty through my artwork, and portray a sense of dreaming and ethereal reality. "
